How do you get rid of a dog's separation anxiety? We have a new pup and we have tried to leave him in a box for the night but his whining caused the neighbours to actually phone the police because they thought we were abusing the dog and they've warned us that we can't do that and if they are called again we will have the dog taken from us and face punishment, but how the fuck can we fix this?

Tell your neighbors to suck on your meaty cock. Your decision on how to get your dog to behave isnt up to them. Some dogs don't like crates. Could you confine him to a room instead? Make sure he has some place to sleep.
Pheromone plus ins?

Record yourself sitting on your couch and occasionally calling dog's name. Play on loop while gone. Works for us.

>put dog in box
>wonder why it is crying

If it's whining all night it's not behaving.
Personally I don't think the cops have any business messing with it, but his neighbors have every reason to complain to the landlord about the noise.

Literally why would this fix it?

Wow I think my dog would FREAK if I did this. He doesn't have separation anxiety but sometimes I'll say "go find daddy!" And he'll run around the house looking for him and whining because he can't find him. I imagine hearing our voices but being unable to find us would make him miserable
