The quiet "uninteresting" guy from work now owns a rare $1000 african snake (cape house snake). How does this change how you feel about him now?
>>
sounds like a fag
>>
>Thinking
"$1000? Jesus. What a fucking weirdo spending that much money on a decoration. He must really like them and not be a huge edgelord if he's willing to spend that much money. How could anyone do that? Christ, what a weirdo. Note to self: never accept invitation to hang out after work from this guy."

>Says
"Cool, man."
>>
>>2220176
No one cares faggot.
>>
>>2220176
Yes now i think he's quiet uninteresting and stupid. Why the fuck would anyone but an arrogant fool pay $1000 for a snake?
>>
>>2220176
The quiet "uninteresting" guy from work now owns rare anime merchandise worth 50000$. How does this change how you feel about him now?

>1000$ for a boring brown turd that looks worse than a 5$ corn snake
>>
my opinion only changes about people when I see they treat their animals well.

Someone who keeps a snake properly, they get my respect. I don't care if its a ball python or a corn snake. A big part of reptiles is how you gravitate towards animals you are passionate about, the passion matters more than the animal its directed at.
>>
are you the guy, OP?
>>
>>2220194
This.

Hell I respect people with any kind of basic, starting pet, even goldfish, if they actually care for it properly. (I knew a guy who has large, nice decorated planted tank inhabited by a single huge goldfish and some snails.)

Chances are if the uninteresting guy starts bragging about have an expensive snake, he's just trying to feel valid.

Stopped reading there.

I'd think he's a pretty cool guy.

The uninteresting girl at work just gave you a discharged American rifle shell. How does that change how you feel about her?
>>
>>2220176
are they really that expensive in the US?
God damnit..

Also, wouldn´t change my views on him, because I do not judge people by their pets/posessions
>>
>>2220301
I would think she has a nice butt.
>>
>>2220304
Hmm... Now that I think about it, I wonder if this show has any good porn yet.
>>

That he is a complete retard for buying a cape house snake for $1000 when can be easily gotten for like $30-50 dollars.

Are you talking about yourself OP? If so you got fucked pretty bad by buying that. House snakes aren't even rare to begin with.
>>
>>2220228
>>2220194
I agree, I'm actually more of a fish/shrimp-keeper but as long as you dedicate yourself to your animal of choice, the price tag should be a non issue (unless you are a breeder).

People who parade around their pets as pricey posessions imho miss the point. Every retard with money can get the most exotic or expensive pet imaginable, but not everyone is willing and able to do the work/research to properly care for it or to say no, when it becomes clear that aedequate care cannot be provided, be it due to budgetary, time or other constraints.
>>
>>2220302
They are not. Even albinos are like maybe $100
>>
>>2220176
Probably that he's a tool who only values animals as dollar signs.
>>
>>2220176

I own a $6500 snake. 6 of them. I had as many as 17 of them at one time. Amazon ETBs of breeding quality.

Though same offspring go to zoos and shit, I make my living by ripping off people that think expensive pets make them unique or special. So I'd encourage them to keep trying to compensate for whatever is missing in their life with expensive pets, and tell their friends to do the same.

The rats I feed them are seriously more interesting. They are pure decoration. It's the same as people wasting money on fancy paintings. They just want to impress their friends.

If anyone's been around for a couple years, they probably know who I am. I used to post heavily in Reptile Gen.

>a rare $1000 african snake (cape house snake)
I laugh at him and explain that either he's been severely ripped off since they're like twenty bucks at an expo or he's completely full of shit. Prices like that are why the ball python and retic crowd sicken me.

Lel let me guess, the guy is you right OP?

>minding my own business doing my work as usual
>look over my shoulder
>oh Christ it's anon again, why can't Tim ever get the scheduling right.
>Keep working
>I can see anon timidly standing beside me just inside my field of vision
>He's been standing there for a minute now without saying anything
>suddenly I here him take a desperate gulp of air and then he blurts out
>I-I have a snake at home! It cost me a thousand dollars
>"oh haha... that's cool anon"
>Fucking Tim with the schedules man, 6 more hours of this shit
>>
Literally nobody cares you atist, you just seem like a creep. Stop being a f9g that spends money for attention and get pets because you want them.
>>
>>2220176
I have more respect for the guy I know that keeps his common $2 betta fish in a 10g tank with a heater and filter with live plants. The value of the animal doesn't matter so much as the care and passion the owner gives it.
>>
>>2220176

The guy remains quiet and uninteresting but is now known to be the kind of creep that thinks a bolt-on accessory ike an overpriced biteworm makes him more interesting.
Become further convince he's probably a child molester.

>does than answer your question OP, you desperately immature faggot?
