I would really like to get a Scottish fold but I am worried about the health issues inherent with the breed.
Are these cats healthy?
Sounds like you already know the answer.

>Taytay is holding you
>you're sad
Some cats don't even realize how lucky they have it.

Some cats just always look sad
Japanese are pretty big into these mutant kittys.
What the fuck is that ugly monstrosity?

Unfortunately this
The cats with folded ears will always be unhealthy due to their structure, no amount of health screening or good breeding can help with that. For the ears to be folded, there HAS to be a cartilage deficiency. Think if it like pugs' snouts; even a genetically healthy pug will still have trouble breathing because of the flattened face.

At the point of be born with a mutation that affects the growth of cartilage, no. The issue isn't that it's weak or failing, the problem is it's not there; it hasn't fully developed
I was reading that all Scottish folds, even normal ear ones, suffer from this to some degree. but the folded ones just have it worse.
