Personally I wouldn't keep them inside forever. But my family cat actually hates being outside, so there you go

Pretty possible that it will survive. I know stories where the cat had pretty much bladder messed up for life but the owner cared for it anyway. Some of such cats recover after months. Hope yours will be ok
