I have no idea what kind of spider he is myself but spiders are good, orbweavers are great to have in your garden. I heard their bites hurt(never been bitten by one, but have been bitten by handling wolf spiders like an idiot but still survived fine) but in your bed he obviously got lost on his quest for food and/or spider puss. Put him somewhere where he will find plenty of either and know you helped him full fill the journey he was born for.

Looks like an orb weaver. Recluses usually have less pronounced color variation on their legs IIRC. Either way it wouldn't usually walk around in the light with you around. It's almost certainly an orb weaver, they look a lot like recluses at first glance.

It is not a brown recluse. I can't tell you what it IS for sure, but I can tell you it's definitely not a brown recluse. I've been flatmates with brown recluses for about 9 years now (they're actually not that bad and tend to keep to themselves).
