What's a good reptile that doesn't need live food and isn't a turtle or tortoise?
I'm considering snakes, but want to know if there are any lizards who fit this quota other than Iguanas, which wont do because FUCK HUGE
like a uromastyx?
>>2198258
I thought those guys were omnivorous and need crickets every so often?
>>2198260
Uromastyx are straight herbivores.
I would say most large monitors, but you don't want something fuckhuge.
>>2198263
That's good to know, I keep getting conflicted information about them
Yeah, I own ferrets, and if I were to own something like a Tegu or monitor I'd need to let them free roam, recipe for disaster.
I only don't want iguanas since they apparently get really fucking nasty once they reach maturity.
>>2198260
Nope
crested geckos? leachianus geckos too I think. Never kept either of those tho
>>2198290
Seconding cresteds. Small, and they consume a formulated crested gecko diet. I'm not expert, but they fit the bill.
Not reptiles, but herps still: you could get a pacman or pixie frog, or similar, they will consume pinkies/fuzzies.

Alligators can be easily fed on a diet of non-live meat.
>>2198297
>FUCK HUGE
The smallest caiman is much bigger as an adult than the average green iggy

>>2198296
Ah, forgot about cresties.
I'm actually really happy you brought up pacman frogs. I've avoided them and other amphibians due to the fact I know they all hunt on motion and are all carnivorous, meaning live food seemed unavoidable
didn't think to feed them like snakes with freeze dried pinkies on tongs. Thanks!

My State doesn't allow crocodilians, sadly.
>>2198302
This too regardless.

>Tegu or monitor I'd need to let them free roam
No, that is absolutely horrible monitor care.
Male iguanas are the potentially horrible ones. You could always get a female. Just make sure it's old enough to be for sure a female.
