I only ask for a second of your time. Olaf the Berserker disappeared about a month ago after being threatened by a heartless neighbor. I suppose it could have been a coincidence. I suppose things like this happen. Or maybe it was my fault. Whatever the case may be, I just hope he is in a better place. He did no harm to anyone, and considered every person his friend. Especially children that petted him constantly on their way home while he chilled on the front of my house. I'm a little selfish to do this but I just have to move on. While struggling with a crippling depression for so long, it was him that gave me hope on an everyday basis. A friend always there to comfort me in dark days. If there is a heaven, I am sure he's there. Thank you for everything lil Olaf. From the bottom of my heart I thank you for a second of your time.
I'm very sorry for your loss OP. Olaf sounded like a very nice cat, 10/10 would pet.
Another negligent owner, another avoidable loss.
Move along, nothing to see here
>it's an "outdoor cat owner is surprised when his cat goes missing" episode
I feel sorry that your cat paid the price for your negligence.
Maybe this wouldn't have happened if you kept him inside
Oh wait, this definitely would not have happened if you kept him inside
I love cats, but I don't feel the slightest bit of pity or sympathy for you 'case this is entirely your fault for being a negligent owner

If you left him outside, it's your fault. Pets are meant to be attended to; outdoor cats are just strays.
sorry for you loss op but cmon, outside cats are horrible.
if you let your cat out to shit on someone elses lawn, don't be surprised if they don't come back

>Or maybe it was my fault.
Pretty much.
It's not like it's wrong to say "it's safer to keep your cat inside" but you people are pieces of shit for belittling OP this much. For fucks sake hold the sociopath who stole his cat accountable, at least a little bit. Some people don't have shitty neighbors that would do these type of things.

And in those cases that cat is killed by disease, getting in fights, cars, getting eaten, etc. We see these threads all the time, almost every day.
It sucks for Olaf but we hope by pointing out OPs mistake that he changes his cat keeping policies next time if there is one, and that this serves as a lesson to other outdoor owners
Sorry for your loss OP. Don't repeat your mistake if you get a new cat friend. Take comfort in knowing Olaf is at rest. I wish you the best.
