Is there any benefit to cropping doggos' ears and/or docking the tail?

Cropped ears can lead to fewer ear infections, I guess. Other than that it's just for looks.
yes. the same as chopping part of a baby's dick off benefits aids in africa
it's a retard filter

No, cropping the ears has no effect on controlling ear infections.

The breed's that would benefit from crops to reduce ear infections are breeds that are never cropped like Basset hounds, spaniels, bloodhounds, Labradors, poodles, coonhounds and Afghan hounds. If anything, crops would be more likely to cause infection than solve them, because breeds with chronic ear infections aren't often cropped.
Uh it's also used to you know prevent the hogs and fucking Jaguars ripping off its fucking ears.

i think it was originally done to remove structural weaknesses during fights. floppy ears are an easy targer, as are long tails. dobes were bred to be bodyguards, hence they had to be ready to throw down at a moments notice. my dobe has his ears and tail done, but he came from the shelter. i dont think i would have done it if i had him from a pup.

Yeah man all those pesky jaguars always roaming around make me wish I had my ears cropped as a kid.

I had to have my tail amputated when I was a teenager because a hog bit it.

IIRC, tail docking prevents injury in dogs who pull carts or herd stock. I have no idea about ear cropping though.
in my country it is still allowed to cut off the tail on some hunting dogs so that they can move better through bushes

Not unless its a herding dog
If it is it prevents sheep and or cows from biting tail.

sheeps and cow dont eat dog
chinese do
and sheep have no tails
For guard dogs such as the doberman, it gives a more intimidating appearance. It also prevents attackers from grabbing and injuring the ears or tail during a fight.
In other breeds, the tail might be docked or the ears cropped to prevent injuries from brambles, livestock, or wild animals, that would make it difficult for the dog to perform its job.
Basically it's completely fucking useless if your dog's not working, and whether it's really beneficial enough to a working dog to merit it could be debated.
/an/ bout to get mad as fuck. Meanwhile I'm sitting here with my docked & cropped doberman and he couldn't be happier.

Sheep totally have tails.
I've known people who got their dogs tails docked so they don't break and cause more problems later.

You know people say that but it is horse shit. There are very few legit reasons to do it anymore.
