Thanks! Through that I managed to find http://wdfw.wa.gov/help/questions/150/Is+it+legal+to+own+or+possess+exotic+wildlife+in+Washington%3F, and theres no mention of porcupines at all so it looks like I'm good!

I hate to revive threads this far back but I jusr have to ask a few things.

One, why do you want one? Do you have the space for it? Do you know how hard it is to own an exotic pet of that nature? Did you research?

I am so tired of seeing people want fennec foxes and things of a more exotic breed than my owning rats (which I tell you is hard enough to find a vet for in many ares) let alone finding someone who could treat a porcupine.

Worst of all to me is, as cute as something is (I fucking love anteaters) but it is not meant to live with us. It is wild, and captivity would reduce its lifespan and happiness. If your reason is just 'I like them' then I ask you sir, is it worth it?
