humpbacks have had bad blood with orcas since the dawn of time. Not even human racism can amount to the hate humpbacks have against orcas.

Sure, one smack from that tail will fuck an orca up, but they just use their size to bully the orcas. I doubt even a strong pod of orca would attack two full sized humpbacks. Its probably just easier for them to prevent kills instead of finding their young and killing them proactively.

well the tail isn't their primary form of defense or offense. They hard bony tips of the skull allowing to basically ram anything to death. males have been known to kill each other doing this so I can only guess that if one rammed a orca hard enough it would be dead.
