I have a month old German Shepherd(his mom passed away 29 days after birth), and im having trouble potty training him. I live in a large aparment with a balcony, and he shits all over the damn place. I've tried using newspapers, sand, and even used the attractant spray. He's too young to be taken outside.
What do I do?

He's only 4 weeks, op. You can't expect to start training until at least 6 weeks. You can try, but don't expect anything. He's only been in the world for less than a month. In the mean time use doggy pads. The rule of thumb is puppies can hold their bladder for one hour for every month they are in age, and that stops around 7-8ish months or more. So right now, pretending your dog is house trained, you'd have to take the pup out every hour before he'd have an accident

Give him back to his shit breeder. Seriously, what moron just places pups that young, even with a dead mom. The breeder should have kept the pups until they were 12 weeks old.
