What work do you give your cattle dogs to do?

I live on a 150 acre piece of land with cattle and sheep occupying most of the space.
When it's time to round up the animals to place them in another paddock the dogs begin the movement and then eventually stays out on the flanks of the herd.
That and general exercise (being allowed freely to roam over the farm)

I love the look and personalities of Heelers and Border Collies but I'm in Canberra and there's no space for them to do anything. I run fuck loads but that wasn't enough for my old StaffyxKelpie so it'd be even worse for them.

The breed is Australian cattle dog. There are red and blue versions, not just blue.

Blue heeler isn't another name for Australian cattle dogs. It's one of 2 colors of the breed.

Theres three colours the common blue, and the rarer red and white.

mine is heeler x border collie

shes super smart, and super loyal. wont let other dogs near me when we are in public, will chase a ball for hours. she steals water bottles and chews the lids off, so we put treats in them and superglue them shut to keep her busy. i moved one of her bones once to fuck with her, the next time she buried it she made three decoy holes.

I have a pit mix. He is pit with basset and golden. He is such an awesome dog. He is super athletic and loves to play outside, but inside he is mellow as fuck and loves cuddles. Everyone who meets him thinks he is just awesome. The basset comes across really strong in him and he had that hound stubbornness (and lovely musk), but I've really grown to like that about him.

My vote goes to mutts as the best dogs. They all look so unique and have awesome personalities. You get a bit from all the breeds from them, which makes them fun as fuck. They are also cheap to adopt and just seem really grateful for you giving them a home. Mutts are 11/10 dogs.

My girlfriend has a yorkie, but he looks way too big for a yorkie, I think he weights about 5kg or more. Is it normal for a pure yorkie?

She wasn't bred on purpose, the mum got out one day and got knocked up by next doors border collie. I felt bad because I'm very pro-shelter however when I went to pick her up she was in the shittiest yard and covered in dirt, fleas, and ticks. I consider her "saved" I suppose. She's spoiled now :)

1 decent walk a day is enough if you don't want the going crazy and digging up the yard. By decent I mean an hour our jogging or doing some bush walking. I usually give mine 2 a day. She's pretty chill though and plays with her toys etc or just chill with me around the house.
