What is this tree in my front yard? I just moved and I don't know what it is or how to care for it. I'm in New Hampshire.
There is another one too.

Alright fine I'll respond.
You literally don't need to take care of trees, anon. It's fine.

I know that but it's more of just curiosity at this point, it looks something out of a Dr. Seuss book.
Almost looks like a Cedar/Juniper but the shape of the tree and the bark are unfamiliar
If you're into the Seuss thing, Mimosa trees are pretty neat. Pom pom flowers for early summer and the leaves close up at night
Bump for curiosity

It's a cedar tree, just trimmed along the base.

>You literally don't need to take care of trees,
That depends on the tree. Fruit trees require spray regimens, pruning as well as harvesting.
Flowering ornamentals require regular pruning for appearance. Most trees have sucker as well that need cut off, and bag worms and other pests are a constant maintenance item as well.

A big cat told me that your tree is very sociable. Prone to loneliness, it needs at least 3 ten second hugs per year. Cats dont hug trees, tho so you're going to have to.
Whisper dirty things to it. Get it wet every once in a while.

Definite possibility, but I've never seen one shaped like this.
def looks like a cypress. take a picture closer up of the bark/leaves.

Why don't you think it's a cedar? The bark, the foilage. This is what a cedar looks like pruned.

It looks more like this than a cedar, cedars don't grow like that anyway, they're more spaced out than OP's tree, OP's, like pic related grow with very dense foliage, plus they both have that orange hue to the bark,
Juniper. It was once a hedge/bush, but it grew and no one pruned it.
