Just putting together a go bag for my dogs, we live on a fault

Not sure if you addressed this already but have you considered actual packs for your dogs so they can carry gear and supplies?

Yeah that is the harness and saddle bags. But most of the gear will be in my frame pack, they will basically just carry kibble and water.

Just 2 but one is only 4kgs so will go a crate/carrier in the bottom shelf of our pack or in the bigger ones saddle bags in hazardous areas.. One thing I am concerned about is dust but we wont be moving until the dust is settled so to speak.

Can't go wrong with cordage. Ridiculously light and cheap paracord can go a long way for so many uses. But I imagine that might be in your bag?
What's your burden look like? Maybe focus on not having all your eggs in one basket.

It may seem pretty trivial, but try to make space for a lightweight but durable chew like a Nylabone. Dogs don't tend to handle change well, and a disaster that causes you to drastically relocate isn't going to be easy to take. A little bit of stress relief could do wonders.

Make sure your dog is used to wearing all the protection.
