This made me sad. Even if it was justified, that officers should not be a dick and apologize to the kid for having to kill their dog. They're fucking kids for fuck sake. Also, finishing him off while they watch? Awful.
Why couldn't it have been a black
from what I understood from the article, the officer just waltzed right into the yard, because the warrant said he could. though i agree a dog shouldn't be agressive, the officer should have given the people an oppurtunity to put their dog away
What a dick. Nothing he does or say will bring the kid his dog back but he could at the very least apologize to him for taking his friend.
>The warrant for McNiel was from a 10-year-old case
>the police chief said the department was aware the Malones had lived there for the past year. He also told FOX 25 the address was a “rent house” and that multiple people had “moved in and out” in the past decade. Moore defended the officer’s presence there saying he “had to start somewhere” in his effort to serve the warrant.
>from a 10-year-old case
the officer assassinated that dog.
Cops kill dogs daily a this point.

If a dog bites a random trespasser who turns out to be a serial child molester he gets a bit on the news and called a hero.
If a dog bites or even just approaches the fence when a random trespasser happens to be an inept cop he gets shot in the head and blamed for being vicious.

Some dogs are aggressive. Be them rescues, raised like shit, breed spefific, etc. The idea of every single dog needing to be perfect is ridiculous.
And plenty of 'good dogs' will just act aggressive by barking if you just walk right into their yard.
