I think it's only one breed that carries the disease. Nine-banded ones maybe.

Domesticated armadillo families actually lose it after a few generations so it's possible to have one as a healthy pet if you can support whatever other needs it has. If you can cover it medically it probably wouldn't be that much of a stretch to keep.
