So I might be getting a bottle raised cane Corso pup in a few months, I have no experience with this breed, but I have kept huskies (and delt with all the insanity they produce). What should I expect from a cane corso?
>>
Don't get a bottle raised pup. Cane Corsos need a ton of socialization because of their cautious nature. Don't get a pup less than 12 weeks old. They NEED that time with mom and siblings to learn how to be a dog.

Stick to huskies, or find a better breeder.
Generally, if you're planning on getting a dog and only do research/ask about it AFTER, you should stick to goldfish. Preferably goldfish from a better breeder than this.

They love children.

Well dipshit I am still in the planning phases, the pup is still very young, just opened its eyes recently. Hence why I am asking if anyone has experience with Cane Corsos. Also these are rescue pups that were abandoned at a shelter so I am not getting it from a breeder, I would never get a dog from a breeder as there are many dogs in shelters that need good homes, my huskies are all rescues.

I am glad you are adopting a rescue anon.
However, I would still pass on this pup. Cane Corsos are hard level dogs. Even a well bred, properly socalized CC is a hard dog to keep. They need something to do all day long. They need a ton of exercise. And they need a lot of training.

The only person who would be suitable to adopt this pup would be someone with years of experience handling and training large aggressive dogs (not huskies).

I would honestly advise against it if you never had to deal with a cane corso or a breed like it, like the canary dog. A cane corso that was well socialized is already very hard to handle. I would think these dogs would need an experienced owner, as they will grow to be pretty unruly and not understand how to interact with other dogs. My biggest concern, besides the dog-on-dog aggression (or s/he could just unknowingly provoke fights because mommy dog never showed him/her how to behave), is that the dog will also be over-all unruly, because there is no mother dog there to teach that biting hurts, paw-play is aggravating, there is a point of being too rough, etc. Then there is also the case that you will have to teach the dog these manors and more, like jumping isn't ok. Cane Corsos were gaurding dogs, and are much more prone to aggression towards strangers and animals than other breeds. They will need to be socialized with strangers and dogs (not just your family members and the dog next door, they have to be strange people and dogs) for it's entire life to prevent what could be a fatal aggression.

Huskies may have a high prey drive, but they are no where near the guarding animal that is the cane corso. Bottle raised dogs, while they sound like they would be easier to handle, really are actually much harder to raise and train.

Not quite...

I have a corso and he's a pretty easy dog compared to my Mally cross, very attentive and constantly trying to please me. I think if you take him to puppy classes as soon as possible so he can learn to socialise it might be alright.

Also don't assume these are like other 'lazy' mastiff breeds this guy is crazy, he loves hiking, got lost from about 11 am to 2 am once and I was dead, I had to lay down and he just runs out of the bushes with a giant stick and puts it on me.

However he can be very stubborn and despite me socialising him with strangers everyday till he was about a year, he hates people, very suspicious and guards the house and me, but only against things that are out of the ordinary which is nice as he's not barking all day. Also he doesn't listen to any other family members despite being very friendly toward them and a few 'weak' members he likes to try and dominate when I'm not there. Despite this he loves other dogs, always so excited and wanting to play.

Also he is extremely strong, I was told to put him on a halti or choke chain as they're impossible to heel train but he is extremely good off lead, however if he is going after a dog that's gone for him its impossible to stop him, thankfully he stops when they submit.

What if the other dog doesn't submit?
>>

I live in a country type area where there are lots of different dog breeds and the dogs are all pretty well behaved/socialised so he hasn't been in many fights, however haven't met a dog that hasn't submitted yet, he has this weird fighting style where he grabs the throat and sort of throws them through the air before smashing them into the ground and just holding them there silently till they stop struggling.

He's only gone that far against idiots with pit mixes that won't try and break up the fight however. As soon as a dog submits he just stands all stiff legged, watching them till they leave, won't listen to me at all. Its hilarious watching him go from anger face to his soppy face in a matter of seconds however, like 2 completely different dogs.
