Just go find the guy and threaten him to beat him up, but don't actually act upon that threat unless he leaves you no choice. At that point I'd advise you to aim for the solar plexus with your hand like the one on top in pic related.
What it does is it prevents the guy from breathing for a few seconds, it should be an impressive enough sensation for the guy to calm down, but it's harmless and most importantly it leaves no trace, so he couldn't actually press charges unless there are witnesses.

Believe it or not, in most countries, in order to press charges against someone for physically assaulting you, you need to prove you were actually assaulted. So the police departments medical unit examines your body to evaluate the extent of the harm that was caused to you. If there is absolutely no sign of injury on your body, and you can't produce any witness to the altercation, you won't be able to press charges.

Not that I'm advising for that because when you punch someone in the stomach usually they're going to fight you back. Then they're going to become much more beat up if you win. If you lose they're just going to whoop your ass and still call the cops. So, it is not usual that someone would have been battered with just 1 hit.

Kicking his ass is the more visceral solution and will probably feel good if done right but you have to be smart about the consequences. Like other anons said it isn't fun to be tried for assaulting someone which leaves you with a couple of variants :
- kicking his ass anonymously. Pros : will feel good; if he doesn't connect it with your wife then she's safe. Cons : will only work if you incapacitate him severely (p.e. break his hands/arms, blind him, etc) ; he won't necessarily associate it with his behavior and might resume it when he goes back ; he might be quicker/luckier than you and kick your ass ; you might kill him by accident ; you might go to jail.
- kick his ass and let him know why. pros : will feel good; he might back off. Cons : he or his friends might take it out on your wife (burns, rape, beating, be even more of a dick) ; the rest of the cons are described above.

Another way to go about it is to intimidate him. Get buddies/family to gang up on him and threaten or bully him. Pros : might work, relatively innocuous and no one can accuse you of anything if you do it in an isolated place and your buddies are trustworthy. Cons : if he isn't intimidated he might take it out on your wife; might still go to the cops especially if there are witnesses.

Another alternative is to plant shit on him and call the cops/manager anonymously aiming to get him charged with something or fired. It's elegant and more or less safe for you and your family if done carefully.
