I want to learn how to dance, as a fun social skill.
I'm 20 M uni student, virgin, clueless, with little experience.
How can I learn the basics ?
How can I practice ?

Your best bet is to just search around your area for dance teachers that teach classes in their spare time.
I took swing dancing and salsa lessons for about a year from a local dance teacher who was just looking for extra income. Very experienced, and willing to do one on one classes.
The woman that taught me was relatively cheap for the time and effort she put in.
But that's just from what I've experienced. It is a great skill to have, and fun as hell to learn.

Do you recommend group classes, even if I'm a total beginner ?

Not him, but group classes are great. Most are designed for beginners and you form a pretty tight dancing bound with the other students if you all stick with it long enough.

Classes are awesome. If you can't afford classes then copy what you see off youtube. Here's a starter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twqM56f_cVo
Focus on the feet, that's where it's all at.

Try to dance to the songs that mean the most to you, that draw the most feels from your soul. Even if it's not considered a mainstream dance song, hell I dance to NIN for example, feel don't over think, look in a mirror practice body language also
