I'm planning on quitting again.
How can I do it without turning into Orson Welles and Marlon Brando combined?
I just quit about two weeks ago.
Help. I don't want to become like OP.
how fat are talking here

It's inevitable.

No... NO!
Tell me the truth OP, you lashed out on food to make up for ciggies. If I don't do that I'll be fine, right? Right?!

Even if you eat normally it doesn't matter. Your metabolism completely changes.
It has to do with how you absorb everything.
> You're fucked

I quit smoking fit and I am genuinely fit as fuck.

This is not true. This is just what people who got fat after the quit say instead of faceing the fact they replaced 1 terrible habit with another terrible habit.

> The nicotine in cigarettes speeds up your metabolism. Nicotine increases the amount of calories your body uses at rest by about 7% to 15%. Without cigarettes, your body may burn food more slowly.

Yeah I never said it doesnt speed up your system a bit or slow it down. I'm just saying they dont make you fat and that small difference, although I know 7%-15% is slightly significant is not an excuse or a reason. Some peoples metabolisms probably vary that much.
I smoked a pack a day for 6 years and have been smoke free for a year and went to the gym instead and gained 10 lbs of muscle and body dysmorphia thanks to /fit/.
I'm also a mailman and walk like 8 miles a day. But I see plenty of fat ass mailmen.

Na you just have garbage genetics. I smoked from age 14 till 22. Never gained any weight when I stopped also have had 3 baby's and still no stretch marks. Don't blame quitting smoking for your body just being crappy

By chewing gum or drinking water.
