Should I do a postgrad in teaching? I did a meme degree in journalism.
Any teachers here from Australia? Is teaching shit tier or decent? I'm generally a pretty mediocre person, but I'm calm and can deal with children pretty well.
Am a male.
Try teaching english as a second language, you can get sponsored to teach in basically your choice of countries only pre rec is usually a BA in anything. South Korea for example they will practically bend over backwards to get you there.

Actually, in Japan they would rather not have you have a degree in teaching ESL.

Being a schoolteacher really has to be a kind of calling, almost like the priesthood. You have to really want to do it more than anything else.
The actual teaching is great fun and really satisfying. But there is so much attendant crap, from paperwork through discipline of brats who have never heard the word No, to dealing with parents whose children can't possibly get less than an A+, to coping with politician-directed exams and quotas.
You can put up with all that crap if you really really love the teaching. If it's just a job to you, you'll hate it all.
