They do these all-invited thingies and I haven't established any relationship with anyone, so I go there alone and wander around as I see people in groups mostly divided by nationalities. I feel like I'm starting to be ignored.
What do? Force myself into groups? Go ahead and talk to newcomers or people alone like me?
I was trying to avoid alcohol to be able to do this kind of things, should I just drink a bit to feel more easy going?
What's your advice in meeting strangers?
>walk in to class
>sit next to someone who seems kind of cool
>talk to them
>walk into social event
>look for someone who seems kind of cool
>talk to them
>walk into X
>see Y
>do Z
It's really easier than you think. Especially on an exchange. Overthinking things is the enemy.
