This is actually not that peaceful, and possibly quite painful. The above two methods result in loss of conscious (potentially in under a second, in the case of a heroin OD) and minimal, if not no, pain.

Also, think hard on how each member of your family, or your friends, will react. Ask if your life is really so horrible that you're willing to potentially ruin theirs just for your own sake.

Once I finish a few technology advances to give those I care about a chance against the future, I've commited to ghosting everyone and ending it.

I've got medical conditions that have left me to spend the rest of my days alone to fight severe mdd and ptsd and honestly dont plan on growing old. I've made a spiritual pact to say around until I've persevered enough through my struggle to help others, but once I've achieved that or completely failed - its pretty much done for me.

My method is to use 100% nitrogen gas (we already breath 70% nitrogen) to asphyxiate myself of oxygen and pass out into a remote lake where I will sink, decompose, and never be found. I dont want anyone to know I died.

I've thought about taking a few truly evil people I've encountered with me, but my spirituality prevents me from passing judgement in that manner.

The only other method Id consider is a gunshot to the heart under the influence of hard drugs.
