Would I look like an autist if I wore safety headphones in college?

I am a 25 year old retard at community college who needs to log 8 hours a week into a math program and do my homework there. I find it very hard to concentrate on my work when I hear math tutors working with other students in the class room and even normal ear plugs dont quite drown out the sound. Will people thing I am autistic?

I was worried the sound might be distracting to me. Plus I dont be able to listen to music during the exams and I dont want to change my study environment too much
