I struggle to fall asleep, also I'm overthinking too much which makes me so depressed I can barely stand up from my chair.
I've recently smoked weed for the first time. For some reason it helped, I was able to fall asleep like a normal human being and was actualy happy for the first time in many months. I am thinking about continuing smoking weed from time to time, but I fear it's gonna have negative affects on me in time. Wot do /adv/

If you have a stable hookup and no fear of UA's from your job then go for it; I've smoked everyday for the last 3 years and while it can exacerbate anxiety and depression, it's easy to quit as I've recently found out; I haven't smoked in 2 weeks because I'm going to apply for new jobs.
Just don't be a fucking idiot about where/when you smoke and you're solid.

I wouldnt recommend it if you have an addictive personality or are using it to self medicate. I think it becomes a slippery slope when you depend on weed to maintain your mental wellbeing.

Plenty of people self medicate. Never seen anyone turn out ok though. Get proffessional help.
