How to handle a jerk boss?
Just started a new job a couple weeks ago. My boss was ok at first, but he's starting to show his true colors I think. He's been a bit snappy a couple times, but nothing serious. But today, he was being asshole.
This is only the third job I've ever had. My previous 2 bosses were both pretty nice and cool. Is this the way most bosses are? Am I just spoiled from my previous nice bosses?
I have a good idea how to handle this. If it continues, I'm going to tell him, "Look, I don't need this job. If you continue to treat me with disrespect, I will quit."
Does that sound like a good approach? And also, am I being a little bitch? Are asshole bosses something that I'm not used to and something that I'm going to have to learn how to put up with?

>I'm going to tell him, "Look, I don't need this job. If you continue to treat me with disrespect, I will quit."
Dude, no. That will make him angry and he'll fire you on the spot.
What does your boss do that bothers you?

I don't care if he fires me. I'd rather be fired than continue to be treated poorly.
He's been talking to me in a condescending manner. I just have a gut feeling that it's going to continue to get worse. If you give a bully an inch, they will take a mile.

He could just be giving you a hard time because you're new and are fucking things up.
If you don't think this is the case, just quit. It's better than making an enemy, especially if this is a real job field and not Mcdonalds.

It's a food delivery type job.
I've made a few mistakes, but nothing big. I think I'm doing pretty damn well so far to be honest. And I'm getting no appreciation for it.

>food delivery job
>food
There's your Fucking problem anon your working in the food industry
To put it bluntly my coworker said it best when I worked in food service
>the reason your boss big fat asshole is because he/she has to deal with bigger fatter assholes who are bitching because they're food is cold
You want a nicer boss? Work in retail

Let that sink in.

My last job was in food delivery and my boss was one of the nicest guys ever
Bumping this to get some more advice.
The one time I talked to my boss about her being a bitch ended pretty well. It was basically a mutual agreement to both shut the fuck up and put our differences aside. She ended up storming off (lol fucking women in the workplace) but there was an improvement after we spoke.
She would always be condescending and get pissed when id stop and chat with an employee, literally singling me out. Also she would give me the shittiest low tier jobs to do, even though I was the hardest and most experienced worker there.
If you do call them out, focus on telling them how you feel. Never say "you" statements. Id reccomend not threatening them that you will just leave. I think you can figure out why.

See that's what I'm saying. If you just show people some resistance, they will back off. If you sit there and take it, they will keep bullying you. And it might get worse.
