How to find a decent apartment when making $16/hr and no friends

Look into buying a place? Rent here where I live is like 1300 a month. But I bought a small two bed/two bath for 580 a month plus 186 is HOA fees.

I live a decent city in Tennessee and rent a two bedroom house in an alright neighborhood for $550, I even have a good sized yard. I recommend leaving that state and going to a lower cost of living state when possible
