I ran for class president today and won. I'm friends with all the people in my class, including the people who ran against me.
I am very happy that I won because it was very out of my comfort zone- but I feel sad for my friends who lost. I know i'd be sad if i'd lost- and although I don't think they'll hold it against me, I was wondering if there is anything I can do to maybe make it less sucky for them?
I thought that maybe a little distance at first to give them time to be mad/sad at the results would be best, but one of the girls and I are lab partners so we are going to be working together for 5+ hours tomorrow.
I plan on acting normal- but what do I say if she mentions the election? I'm pretty certain she'll say something.
We're both female if that makes a difference.

Also this was for university so it's actually a useful resume item for getting a job to say that I was president of my professional program
