Gaming advice thread. I've been out of the gaming world about 7 years and need to set up a new battle station. How much damage are we looking to get something solid performing going? 1000? 1200? I want to be able to play most stuff without dropping the graphics down to a low crap seeting.

dont do it
I think 1200 is a medium to high end rig.
Last two times i've built a computer that's what I spent. As far as what's good? No clue. Haven't built one in 4 years.

Lol why not do it?

For the PC itself or including accessories?

Well, I have a mouse and flat screen monitor, prob not top end ones. I'm not hell bent on having colored led lights, but if it's not a huge additional cost it's ok if it's in there.

For one, gpu and RAM prices are fucked.
Tbf, a ryzen 1700 + 1070 can be doable under 1500. That's pretty okay for my use.

Don't bother with LED lights. Either your pc will be out of the way, and you won't see them, or they'll just get annoying when you're trying to focus on the screen

Just head over to ebay, you can get one for like 500.
you used to be able to go as low as 350 Unfortunately bitcoin faggots made the prices on graphics cards fucking skyrocket.

ALL PC hardware prices are stupid inflated right now.
