Math major here, what's the best way to quickly and efficiently take notes on a computer?
Is it possible to use Latex for taking notes in math classes? Is there a good tutorial you could recommend?
tablet & stylus -> rewrite into typeset proper notes later
There's no way you'd be able to keep up with note taking and typesetting at the same time.

So I should just take paper notes in class then use Latex later? Wouldn't that make me waste a lot of time?

Why the fuck would you take math notes on a computer anyway? How are you going to have any sort of proper legible notation?
For hundreds of years, university students have managed just fine taking math notes with pen and paper. Why can't you?

LaTeX is a bitch to get right sometimes desu. It's just going to steal your attention.

My handwriting is shit and I figured Latex could help.

See above. I could do it, but it's much more enjoyable to read notes that have been clearly and cleanly formatted.

I guess. Is there no alternative?

I'm "major"(European version) in chemical engineering with shitty handwriting, I used to take only handwritten notes and with that was enough for the degree and the Master, but if you really need to support yourself in non handwritten material I'd recommend to print whatever you need and write notes over it.
trust me dude you dont want to be the faggot playing pong on his laptop during lectures.
>not speedscrawling notes like a madman for 40 minutes in some half inbred chicken language before saying fuck it you'll read the online supplement later...
