>Suicidal thoughts becoming more rampant as I start uni.
Is my brain trying to tell me something?
Smoke a j, go for a run, and remember that you can always retake a class but you can't retake a memory

good advice but don't use the latter bit as a copout for being academically worthless. Unless you're wealthy it pays to graduate on time.

people become 'depressed' during perceived major life changes all the time, even if those life changes are positive. use your thoughts to come to conclusions, not your emotions, and expect this distress to subside to a large extent. you might become more stressed during uni, but this 'depression' is probably just a response to the life change.

actually, if you are upset enough to consider suicide, don't trust your thoughts either. just ride the wave and try to ease up on yourself until this subsides. if it doesn't subside in about two weeks, seek some counseling.

I had the same thing happen to me when I started uni. Exactly what >>18670496
this guy is saying, the massive change in your everyday life takes away feelings of security and routine in one's life, leaving one without purpose or understanding of what to do or where to go. You feel lost, and see death as the only way out of that feeling.
Give yourself plenty of time to create a routine; in diet, habits, people you hang out with; etc. I cannot emphasize that enough. I wish you the best OP.
