My ex girlfriend genuinely loved me, but we split 6 months ago over a fight and she blocked my number. Last weekend she called me crying but I couldn't make out what she said because of an ear infection. I'm really haunted by it and I can't call her back, at least not from my phone. I know she's still alive so I guess continue no contact rather than open an old wound?

What kind of person do you want to be anon? There's no wrong answer, do you want to be compassionate to her and try to help her with her problems? Or be compassionate to yourself,will opening an old wound do more damage to you than you can afford. At the end of the day if both of you benefit, then cool, but if she gets an emotional crutch and you get wounds re opened, you're fucked rub one out and think about it
