Does anyone know anything about getting a job at an arctic research station?
where I should look, what are the credentials, is it a shit job, anything.
I feel like you'd be better off looking for the phone numbers of actual institutions that might be related to arctic research. Ask them the questions you asked us

Why not go and work for an oil company or something like that? You'll make 10 times more money.

To me it would be very interesting and it's not a shit job. Of course it will have its moments where you'll think "omfg six more months of this shit" I would imagine he would have to have some sort of research in project management skills in order to qualify for the expensive trip. Good luck

Not OP, but how do you go on about reaching oil companies?

There are probably some shitty tasks for the logistics department but still, if one likes that kind of place it's more than worth it.
The night sky must be some next level shit there
