I've got to be cheery tomorrow, as I am recruiting members for a social organization, but inside I feel like shit. I don't know how long I'll be able to be the cheery face of the organization. What can I do now, 18 hours before it begins, to at least last 4 of 6 hours? I just don't feel like I have the energy to go out recruit enthusiastically.

if you can't go with cheery, try to go with something else that is good like calm or friendly or reasonable
sure cheery would be ideal, but that doesn't mean you absolutely have to be cheery all of the time. wouldn't that be a ridiculous self-imposed expectation made by someone who focuses on themselves too much?
and when it comes to actually being cheery, just give it your best. maybe you do have it in you. there's only one way to find out.
