Half the guys on here rage when a women rejects them over some stupid shit they did. If she's got one or two from a past serious relationship that didn't work you should be clear. Anyways, the kids are going to be somewhat distressed. You are a new person in their life, it takes time. I would take it slow with involving them in your activities with their mom. Offer to pay for a babysitter so you can go out with the gf alone, and maybe have the occasional day/moment where you are around the kids. If you're not already a dad yourself don't be uptight and uncomfortable, at least not visibly. Your gf and her kids will pick up on that. Try to be fun but not a pushover, but also don't be a strict douche.

All in all time will help. There are lots of men who began dating a single mom only to begin to love her kids as well as the mom. My stepdad is one of them, and he's a good guy. Been there for me and my sister since 2005.
