Whenever I start dating a new girl, I always put her before everything else. Before I met the most recent girl I'm dating, I was looking for a job after finishing University and generally happy with life.

I really, really like this girl, but she is 100% building up to flake on me. She's supposed to be coming to my place tomorrow to spend the weekend, but early this morning she hit me with the "my [insert distant family member here] got taken to hospital" and basically told me she'll message me "when she can".

Basically, this whole situation is making me wonder why the fuck I'm such an idiot for placing her at a higher priority than stuff I needed/wanted to do before I met her.

How do I stop putting women before my own agenda, /adv/?
