Is there really any problem with talking too much about yourself though? A lot of people hate talking about themselves, and are told to listen more.

Anyways, as with anything you want to do, it requires practice. I suggest just setting yourself small goals which relate to talking about yourself less and listening to others more - and do this consistently.

I don't have any experience doing this, as I am trying to talk more about myself because I'm terrible at it. Best advice for me is (in practicing how to just talk and have fun talking) is to stay in the present and focus on the present.
So sorry, can't exactly help except just start with small goals and be consistent with it.

Talking to yourself is very calming and normal. But what all people learn is to talk only inside their head so they dont look crazy to others.

Do it the same way. And talk loudly however you want when you are alone.
