well i got a job as "sales" and i really enjoyed it for the first week. now idk, i feel like the mistakes i make with their shitty software are gonna get me fired even though theyre miniscule things. i like the people there but the big boss is kinda pushy. should i just quit? actually getting money was kind of nice but i dont have expenses or anything. maybe not working for many years is the reason i feel this way. maybe i should work there for 6 months so i can put it on my resume?
Stick around for 6mos for the resume. Make sure you keep track of how well sales went so you can brag about it in another interview. My boss at my last job would show you yearly and quarterly money earned in sales. I never really paid attention, kind of wished I did so I could "wow" people in interviews.
Bosses in sales seems to always be pushy. I got yelled at a lot for my mistakes and get asked "why didn't you met the sales goal today?" Or "we need to push surveys! Are you even pushing them??" They want to make that money. Your boss's boss gets chewed out too if the numbers aren't satisfactory.

i mean i sold over $100k first week so im pretty good at it. i get what you mean about management needing to be pushy though. might as well stick around and save up for a Mustang or something silly.
