My mother recently gone through spinal surgery. Yeah I was scared, but imagine how your mother is feeling. You need to be there for her and support her in every way, I bet the last thing she wants you to do is to be worried. Sallow it and be strong <3

Depends on what she does for a living or for fun. I'm an "artist" and I ended up cancelling hand surgery for a benign cyst on a tendon for fear of losing my range of motion. One of my friends plays guitar and skates and I'm constantly worried he'll fuck his hand up.

The wrist is a surprisingly complex little fucker, but that doesn't mean wrist surgery is all that dangerous. The worst that could happen is the doctor fucking up real bad and your mom losing some hand mobility. She will not die no matter what, you have nothing to worry about.
That said, anons on 4chan likely won't help you calm down. Try to talk to the doctor doing the surgery about your worries.
