Guys I'm in a pickle

>Live in Italy
>Bought graphics card from amazon France
>Dies 8 months after purchase
>Contact Amazon France to make use of Warranty
>They give me a return label to place on the package and 2 commercial invoices to place inside the package
>Do the thing
>Go to the post office
>I'm told they need to apply their own label over my own
>Back off from sending it until I get more info from Amazon.fr
>I only get premade replies in broken engrish from their poo in the loo support

What am I supposed to do? I'm in a bind here.

But what if they need to cover the label on the larger box? It sounded like they wanted to hide the barcode because they had their own, but I don't know if amazon uses this barcode to recognize my refund request.
