WHAT DOES IT MEAN when I long for my friends to pay attention to me and appreciate my presence, but I'm also very shy, very introverted, often scared of social situations and consciously go out of my way to seem invisible in public?
I am scared of being noticed but really want to be noticed by the right people. ???

Humans are social beings and crave the company of others.
Essentially you want attention, but in moderation to what you're comfortable with.

Its normal and happens to a lot of introverted people.
