I got a pretty deep cut from fucking around with a very sharp knife while drunk (I know i'm an idiot). Does it look like I severed anything important (nerves, tendons, muscles etc.)? Should I get stitches?

My mom recently cut her finger about that bad. She should have gotten stitches, but she didn't want to be late for work. I think she just kept gauze and a topical antibiotic on it and it seems to be healing just fine. I think you will be, too. Gently clean it with warm water and anti-bacterial soap if you haven't already. S'bout it. Good luck, OP.

Can you extend your furthest thumb joint completely against resistance? If so, the tendons are fine.

Are there any patches of numbness or altered sensation around the tip of your thumb? If yes, then you've damaged a nerve. At that site, it's probably too small to repair anyway.
