Am I a push over or the ideal employee?
>new at job since july 1st
>warehouse type job
>lots of lifting, processing boxes, carts and pallets
>managers and co workers love my work ethic
>i put in long hours, usually skip my breaks and help everyone
heres my dilemma though
>if anyone asks for help i drop what im doing and help
>managers call me the night before and ask if i can come earlier
>i always say yes and its happened like 5 times now
>never deny extra shifts, shift changes or new tasks
>managers make me take on tasks most others dont do
>literally today
>manager asks if i can come take in truck tomorrow
>i say yes immediately
>"Do you ever say no anon?"
>i just shrug with a smile
So am I just like a push over that does what everyone tells him?
Or is this the perfect work ethic to have?
You should ask for a raise then.
it's the work ethic employers dream of and humanity benefits from because it gets shit done. it has great value. know your value.

Seeing as I just started in july 1st, so 50ish days, i can't complain about the hours.
I was hired as part time. Started out with a few 4 hour shifts, random as fuck. Like one morning, the next close, 2 days off, then a mid day 4 hour shift or whatever.
Schedule for this week is M-F, 9-5.
So i'm very appreciative for that already.
As long as you know how to say no when you reach your limits, I don't see any problem with this. That said, you should complete your own tasks before helping other people with theirs.

If you're not getting burned and you feel you're getting paid enough it's fine.
