I'm torn, /adv/.
I live in Southern California. Certain circumstances will force me to move. As of right now, I have two choices:
1. Move across country.
Pros - I'd be close with family
Rent would be arguably cheaper
Cooler overall climate
Cons - Tornados
Having to get acclimated to a new environment
Probably won't find a job out there all things considered
2. Stay in California and move in with a good friend of mine and his mom
Pros - They're willing to let me live there rent-free in their spare room
Nice neighborhood, really close to the beach
Only living expenses I'd have to take care of is my car note, dental bill, and food
Cons - I'd be totally alone out here with no family
I'd STILL have to get a new job
The move would be a complete pain in the ass since they live about an hour away
I'm torn between the two, anons. What would you do? Anyone in a similar situation? Share.

jobs are easy to get
nobody will be okay with you living permanently rent free
you're putting a lot of emphasis on being apart from your FAMILY so sounds like you should go where they are
moving isn't a pain in the ass it's a thing you generally have to do very rarely
