Depends on what she means by 'blind' momentarily. When you pass out your vision fuzzes into black and it's impossible to put any brain power into focusing on the things you can see and it's almost like being blind for those few seconds.

Yes she should see a doctor if this is something that happens again and again without obvious reason (e.g. excessive fatigue or dehydration or severe anemia). No she's probably not going to die.

Probably just blood pressure.

Whenever my blood pressure gets too low, the front of my head gets all tingly, my vision starts to go black starting from the periphery, and I loose all strength in my limbs. I usually wake up a few minutes later, and it's all good. Sucks when you smack your face into shit on the way down though.

On a related note I almost feinted once and had complete loss of vision. This happened when I was at a public pool and got some chlorinated water up my nose. Shit has always had a strong effect on me when I was a kid and i guess it got worse as I aged.

Sounds like dehydration to me
