My younger brother has had issues with substance abuse in the past. He was addicted to weed and alcohol by his own admission then my parents made him go to rehab and he quit apparently after a couple psychotic episodes on synthetic weed or something

He now seems to be addicted to buying Pokemon card packs and getting the adrenaline rush of wondering whether you're going to "pull" a good card. He's wasting his hard earned money (he only makes minimum wage) on these cards. How do I tell him to stop without offending him, he says "it's my hobby" come on these cards end up sitting in the closet doing nothing once he opens them...
