Hey /adv/. I spend a LOT of time online just chilling; playing on Steam, browsing social media, watching shit on YouTube, every day. After a discussion about how online friendships are shit, it was made clear that I need to get out more.
Two problems though: my friends live pretty far from where i am and also there is nothing remotely interesting here. It was suggested I join a gym, but I'd just be burning more calories than I have.
This thread might be pointless, maybe not. But fuck it, somebody hit me with some ideas.

Can you not afford to eat a bit more? If not there are a lot of activities to still get you out of the house.

No source of income, can barely cook. Unless microwaving and making pasta counts.
What kinda suggestions you have for activities?

Activities:
Learn to cook
Read/Write
Draw/Paint
Hiking
Learn to play an instrument
learn to code
Take an online course in something you find interesting
Give your time to charity
if you're tight on money maybe consider giving some of the time you waste online to getting a job or part-time.

Finding a job has been pretty difficult, but I'll give it another look tomorrow. As for the other activities you suggested, I'll definitely give it a go.

Hope everything works out. Don't know what the job market is like there but I think it would do you some good. Working full time also really helps with the friendship aspect. Spending 40 hours a week with people cultivates some good friendships and work starts to become enjoyable.
