I have no idea what that is...so...probably not. Sounds like it's related to crime in which case you'll probably do just as well to become a cop and tell them where you want to go. FBI also favors law degrees more than anything else in case you were wondering about them.

Psychology student here.Just do what you like in most countries you can't get a job easily so screw it study something you actually enjoy.And it's really hard to get a position in forensics but it's very interesting field.

Because of selective and cherry picked reading, theres a lot of holes in my knowledge so im by no means an expert, but i know a lot and can happily indulge in my passion for it while i do other work that is stable and pays well. A few of my friends used to ask me for psych help a lot. They stopped when my consistent answer was "see a doctor. Im not one." but i could at least prime them on what to expect.

No regrets man. If you love psychology so much just read on your own time and study something with a higher chance of a return your college tuition.

Its also becoming a woman dominated field. I dont know if youre male but could make it more challenging for you.

Maybe try something along the lines of neuroscience and read psychology books on your free time

I wouldnt make a blanket statement like that, nor would I doubt youre right, but, i took a major interest in psychology in university and if i hadnt decided it wasnt going to result in a job id have a PhD by now.

I had a serious problem with people growing up and my social skills were kind of shit, and I couldnt for the goddamn life of me understand what peoples problem with me was and why I just couldnt fit in properly. As far as I knew i was a nice well meaning dude.

By that time I was pretty much decided my lot in life was a total reject.

Chose psych as a compulsory science credit, didnt expect a lot, and it opened up my entire reality to fucking everything that is human. Provided a lot of answers and solutions.

Im not so fucked up now, and I have no idea where Id be without it.

Anyway, theres a quick answer for you. They were fucked up to begin with, caught wind of psychology, went from feeling completely alone in the world and doomed to failure and insecurity, to affirmed and full of hope in a short time period.

Forensic psychology is just a specialised field of psychology. It's just as useless as psychology in general.

My advice: unless you want to be a psychiatrist or to teach (AND know you'll be good enough to teach), don't take psychology. My friend's doing a PhD in psychology and has no idea what she wants to do afterwards, and I don't have the heart to tell her she's probably wasting her time.
