I try to speak to the ones I was friends with. I've still got messenger so they've just completely stopped. Even kept instagram.

In the same boat as you. IMO, since I posted my phone # on my wall several times leading up to deleting facebook with a warning that I was deleting it, I feel that if they wanted to stay in contact with me they would have. Instead I have people messaging me on steam asking me why I blocked them. When I kimdly explain what I did, any further endeavors I make to contacting them are met with silence. If I only matter to them as much as a +1 to their friends list... they are not my friends. Time to make new ones.

Welcome to the reason why facebook and social media in general is a waste of time and why the number of friends you have is a pile of bullshit.

You could disappear or die and the only people who will notice are the ones who actually care aka your true friends or blood relatives.

I've known a couple of girls who deleted their facebook/insta/snapchat because they wanted to do a "reset" only to go back after a couple of weeks after realizing the only number of people who noticed was not even in the double digits even with their hundreds of "friends". They claimed they limited their friends to a lesser amount but last time I saw one their snapchats her list had about 50 people.

If you want my advice anon, get the fuck over it and just stop using social media. Also don't hope that those people are going to contact you. How about texting them directly? I don't have fb/insta but I use snapchat. I send my snaps directly and not to the story bullshit.

I'm guessing you're in your teens or earlier twenties. Be ahead of the crowd and just go cold imo. Girls really don't give a fuck if you're on facebook and every one I've met finds it refreshing.
