i literally cannot get more sleep until thursday through to some extreme work that cannot be delayed, as the actor is in town til the 17th.

sleep is not enough to just cure an infection anyways, I'm looking for something that can kill the bacteria, not soothe or alleviate pain. next week im already flying out to visit my neices and nephews and would like to /not/ infect them

If it starts to hurt, gargle salt water. The salt draws out moisture in your throat. It helps.

If you're not sure it's bacterial, stay away from antibiotics. Do a throat swab culture first

Nothing you can do so. If you have a bacterial infection you'll need anti biotics. If it's a virus it'll just run its course. Either way you can't do anything to stop it now.

will i NEED them? im told even strep goes away in 7 days on its own... but my immune system isnt so strong so im scared.

You can't just take azithromycin because you feel like it, you only need it for strep and very serious infections. If you take it unnecessarily you're damaging your body.
